Last Sunday, Louisette turned five. She’s about to start Kindy. Today was her party. Five years. She’s grown all the way from a giddying hypothetical notion to a wrinkly spew machine to a distinct person: smart, focused, creative, affectionate, gentle, passionate, and gorgeous. I took a photo a day for the first year of eachContinue reading “The artist formerly known as Miss Four”

Still got kids
One for the readers who miss the constant flood of baby pictures.
Wow. A full year of daily photos – done! TJ really enjoyed his party – he loves hiding under things, so we set up a total of seven cubbies in our living/kitchen area, and invited “just” family (over a dozen people including my sister’s girls). The last photo is of my kids and my sister’sContinue reading “Birthday Boy”
And here we see the second-last day of daily TJ photos. Tomorrow it’s his first birthday… and then this blog will look somewhat different.
Still loves peek-a-boo
Still my little bear
Still pulling faces
So today my sister and her girls were visiting, and we went outside. As I was sitting talking to her, TJ stood up at the steps of the slide. It was so cute, like he was actually going to climb the ladder. Oh, lolz. And then he put one foot up. Hilarious! And then heContinue reading “Seriously!?!”
TJ loves toast.
TJ loading our washing machine.
This is TJ watching Louisette run around like a headless chicken on speed.
It’s a week and a bit until TJ turns 1, and this blog changes focus dramatically. Today I sorted out an enormous pile of clothing – and here he is wearing size one clothes. My little man.

Peek-a-boo and Sand at Boundless Playground
The ability to roll/crawl onto the main structure is so excellent. Boundless is my favourite playground at the moment.
TJ’s main birthday present is……. a cardboard box. The most awesome box ever! Louisette and I have already painted and covered it, but we’ll make windows and doorknobs too.
Guess who can open our chest of drawers now?
I had an operation today (prolapsed uterus), which meant I needed to be at the hospital at 6am…which meant, since I wasn’t allowed to drive home afterwards, everyone loaded into the car at 5:30. I knew Louisette would enjoy the novelty – and it turned out TJ did too.
TJ is so close to turning 1… and then no more daily photos, and no more monthly caterpillar photos! It’s been getting harder and harder to get him to lie down 🙂
