At the doctor (4-month shots)
TJ was unimpressed by New Idea magazine.

Personalities
Featuring my best friend’s daughter, who has just turned four. I see a lot of kids in my line of work, but she is unique.
Great-Grandson
Today CJ and I left the kids with a babysitter while we went to the funeral of one of TJ’s great-grandfathers. TJ is one of nineteen great-grandkids.
Proto-Crawling: The First Sign
For the first time, TJ was trying to get his knees under him today. I’m looking forward to his crawling ability, because Louisette found crawling SO EXCITING. I’m also dreading that time, because that was about when Louisette’s curiosity and self-destructive urges were at their most focused. If there was a powerpoint, she had toContinue reading “Proto-Crawling: The First Sign”

Sleepy Cheeky Monkey
Youngests
This is TJ and his youngest cousin (so far). She has recently turned two, and is quite fascinated by him. She has TJ’s eyes and Louisette’s hair, which is adorable!
Big-Headed (or not)
TJ is growing out of his multitude of beanies, and the weather is warming up by the day, so I thought I’d see if I could find him a sunhat. I could not. Well, I found one, but it’s a teensy bit too large. . .

Family
Looking shifty
So tall!
TJ is learning to take his weight on his legs, which is super exciting for all- and somewhat freaky when his sister stands next to him. What a difference two and a half years can make!
A New Era
For the last two months or so, TJ has only settled in our arms during the day. If I put him into his cot, fast asleep, I’d be lucky to get half an hour before he woke up (and would then need to take ages to settle him back down again). A few weeks agoContinue reading “A New Era”
Babysitter
Friends
Louisette’s favourite school friend came over today, along with her 16-month old sister (not in this pic but it’ll be interesting to see what happens between her and TJ as they all grow up). Also, apparently TJ will soon acquire the ability to bash two toys together to make a noise. I gave himContinue reading “Friends”
Care
TJ playing with his snow-leopard open-handed, very slowly as he experiments with different movements. Louisette (including dummy this time, because a little bit of honesty about real life is good for you) and TJ. TJ’s monthly caterpillar-and-tux photo – two days late.
Tummy Time, and Yerrabi Pond
Today TJ fell asleep on his stomach for the first time (front and feet views supplied), and we also went to Yerrabi Pond Playground for a church picnic.
