Also, if he had a tail – he’d chase it.

Together
Sleeping in the same room is actually motivating Louisette to go to bed more easily at night. TJ doesn’t always sleep through, but having Louisette there or not doesn’t seem to be a factor. I’m sure that at some point they’ll be joining forces to stay awake, and that Louisette will soon realise howContinue reading “Together”
The Kids’ Room
As of tonight (7 December) Louisette will be sleeping in TJ’s room. She’s already had a successful nap – actually going to sleep (then staying asleep as TJ had a smaller nap in the same room). She’s delighted by the change, and TJ is young enough to be oblivious – so I think it’ll goContinue reading “The Kids’ Room”
Six Months Old!
We had a pancake party to celebrate (none for TJ, of course 😛 ). It devolved into a ball pit party. This was not a bad thing.
Hungry Caterpillar
Painting
4 Dec TJ’s first artwork (to send to the godparents in Hong Kong), his somewhat Scrooge-ish reaction to his first carol night (he was probably disappointed there were no active fires in the vicinity), and his continuing progress towards crawling. TECHNICALLY he does move forward sightly (hence my placing the ball in front of him)Continue reading “Painting”
Louisette was convinced TJ should play with THIS toy
Luckily, he was convincible.
Someone isn’t sleepy
Almost Christmas!
Yep, it’s December – so I brought out the tree and nativity and Christmas outfits with much glee. The bad shots are at least as good as the good ones, as TJ did his level best to devour his sister. I asked Louisette to explain Christmas to TJ (curious how much she’d absorbed of ourContinue reading “Almost Christmas!”
Poppy’s horse
This really was Poppy’s horse when he was a child. It’s metal, and loud, and actually quite terrifying (with practise, you can make it move forward jerkily by pushing on the stirrups). It was Daddy’s horse too, so naturally he has no idea why I view the antique contraption with a jaundiced eye (even asContinue reading “Poppy’s horse”
Still Good
He still LOVES standing – all the more since the idea of walking has occurred to him. It’s a great way to give him exercise (and therefore better sleep) without making him throw up (ah, tummy time). 29 Nov You’ll notice he appears to be advertising Rhodes and/or piracy. We inherited a LOT ofContinue reading “Still Good”
Ceiling Fan
He’ll gnaw on his own arm given half a chance, but if I really want him entertained for a few minutes I put him on our bed with the fan on. It’s enthralling. 28 Nov
Teeth (hopefully) and Sheep
It’s funny – we have a pic of Louisette “talking” with her Panda toy at a very similar age. It’s just a thing babies seem to do. 27 Nov
Big enough to play (just!)
26 Nov
After Midnight
Moving – a bit
He’s JUST started stepping when he’s standing, and trying to get his knees under him when he’s on his tummy. 24 Nov
Featherdale Wildlife Park (Sydney)
Amazing day. TJ was delighted by the zoo (despite the intense heat), which I didn’t expect – he slept through the Sea Life Aquarium excursion only a few months ago. How things change! (NOT that I would go to a zoo just for him at this age – you know that if Mum and Dad paidContinue reading “Featherdale Wildlife Park (Sydney)”
Daddy’s cousins birthday
That’s where we were tonight. This is the “0” of a giant balloon “30”. There were dress-ups on a table and a JUMPING CASTLE outside (no line, no fee. . . and no-one to enforce the “only children” rule!)
Fetch me ma food, woman!
Given a few seconds’ delay between/before mouthfuls of food, TJ will bang the tray table in an efficient communication of his needs. Here are some shots of his delight when he knows food is coming, and an artsy splodge of zucchini goop just a few mouthfuls in. GROW SOME TEETH, KID.
Food Glorious Food
TJ is REALLY into food (a good thing, because he’s pretty thin). He has five or six bottles a day, and for the last few days he’s been largely unimpressed with mere milk – he’ll drink a bit on and off, then cry until he gets food. Once the food appears, he’s thrilled and vocalisesContinue reading “Food Glorious Food”
