TJ is in the very early stages of “cruising” (that is, walking while holding on) and the newly-secured Activity Wall is brilliant for him, as well as being a source of entertainment.

Whatever Works
TJ is getting better, but he still needs a lot of “sleep maintenance” – ie staying in my arms, and waking up when placed in his cot. But I settled him into this cushion in my lap, then moved him successfully onto the floor where I could see when he stirred but still do someContinue reading “Whatever Works”
From “Meh” to “Yeah!”
TJ needed to be held all night, but he was definitely perking up this morning (as the doctor predicted). Nonetheless, this was his reaction to the National Zoo and Aquarium today (we had a babysitter standing by at home, and after two hours my Mum dropped him off): Later, however, he saw what Dad hadContinue reading “From “Meh” to “Yeah!””
Not our best day ever
TJ has tonsillitis. On the up side, he’s sleeping a lot and will probably be much better as soon as tomorrow.

TJ was effectively/accidentally using this footstool as a walker today – he tends to lean forwards, which moves the footstool, then he corrects his stance – then starts again. Seven Months
Once again, TJ has chosen a lunaversary to leap forwards in ability. Today he made kissing noises for the first time (very funny!) and when I tried rolling a ball to him, he was catching it! His crawling is progressing beautifully (particularly considering he rarely lasts beyond five minutes of practice because it’s soContinue reading “Seven Months”

Evening Routine
TJ was trying to crawl to his cot toy and I realised he could sit up now, so I placed him in front of it. He was so thrilled to play with it properly for the first time. Lately we’ve been hanging out outside after dinner each night, which is awesome. Louisette is twirlingContinue reading “Evening Routine”
