Chris’ brother and his wife are visiting Canberra for several months, which is extremely exciting for all concerned (with the possible exception of TJ, but he’ll come around). They saw Louisette when she was two months old, then one-and-a-quarter years old. We Skype sometimes, and have their picture on the wall. On Louisette’s birthday, theyContinue reading “Aunt and Uncle”

Our new ritual
The before-school ritual of applying sunscreen.
First day at a day care centre
TJ and Thomas
I have no idea why his face looks so weird in these photos
Horse
(The noble steed looked a lot more cheerful in other pics, but they were too blurry.)
Another corner of the Arboretum
Our church went and had a picnic at the Arboretum today. TJ was well entertained by this mysterious new environment, though it took him a while to warm up to it.
Going for a walk with Dad
As Dad pulled the stroller backwards through the front door, TJ’s feelings of pleasure evidently mixed with a hint of trepidation – the classic “I know something’s gonna happen, and I have absolutely no idea what.”
Driving in my car, car
And the monthly tux/caterpillar pic.
Not what it looks like
This is TJ, not actually reading, and not actually standing (he’s leaning slightly backwards – but certainly growing in confidence!) The last pic shows his two teeth, which are still coming through on his lower gum.
At George Gregan Playground
He didn’t venture far from the stroller, but I made sure to take a photo when he did.
Rocking the side part
Child Lock, You Say? So it’s Specifically Made for Me?
Yay!
TJ still adores the camera.
Water Play
TJ had an absolute blast playing with water today.
Look Mum! No hands!
I’m still trying to convince TJ to investigate regular-style crawling. . . with little success (it’s meant to be great for coordination, or I wouldn’t care – he’s happy, and it doesn’t change how much I have to carry him), but technically this is more exciting, since the day TJ can walk to the car andContinue reading “Look Mum! No hands!”
Drinking Alone
TJ can hold his own bottle to drink now.
Nap
Always a crowd-pleaser. Thing are extremely exciting in TJ-land. I was so excited about the Cotter River I forgot to post TJ having fun on the Cotter Playground slide (above). In the last week he’s been all about movement. If we hadn’t child-proofed ages ago, we’d need to do it IMMEDIATELY. As it is, weContinue reading “Nap”
Time for a nap
I couldn’t agree more.
Before I Woke
CJ had a nice time with the kids this morning before work.
